Addy Grant
Mixed Media Artist Hi, I’m Addy! I’ve mostly spent this year exploring figurative ceramics- specifically working with bust pieces and trying to understand how clay can lend itself to conveying human emotions and experiences. It can be be challenging but is always incredibly rewarding—I have learned something new about the medium with each and every piece. I explore similar themes in my 2D work, but I prefer to stick with clay as it has consistently pushed me past my comfort zone with what I make. |

Mixed Media Artist Most of my work is a visual interpretation of a personal situation in my life. My color palette typically consists of bright colors like orange, green, blue, and purple, which was initially inspired by the colorful objects and posters found in my room. Over time, I have strayed away from realism and prefer to portray the human form with warped, exaggerated proportions. Having a tangible representation of my mind is the only way i can put my thoughts and feelings to rest, which is why I continue to create. |

Mixed Media Artist/Illustrator My artwork is the only effective form of communication that I have been able to find. It allows me to recount difficult experiences I have faced throughout my life without judgement, while remaining ambiguous and up to interpretation of the viewer. Through my work, I aim to convey emotion and force viewers to reevaluate their understanding of the world around them. |
